At the end of the month I’ll be traveling to New Zealand for a conference, where I’ll be presenting on what happens to Ezra Pound’s notion of the “ideogrammic method” when it shows up in Chinese “epic” poetry, specifically the works of Yang Lian <\/a>\u694a\u7149 and Xi Chuan. Michele Leggott<\/a>, Lisa Samuels<\/a>, and Robert Sullivan<\/a> have put together a really exciting lineup for the \u201cShort Takes on Long Poems\u201d symposium <\/a>to be held in Auckland from 28 to 30 March.
